Welcome to Stagehand’s gift guide for the 2016 holiday season!
So…the year is almost over, and the holidays are coming up.
First off, congratulations! You survived 2016! : )
We decided we should help y’all out with the process of selecting a gift for someone. Maybe even that special someone. Is that a bit too cheesy? Probably.
Of course, our list of items is entirely music related, and we tried to keep the price under $50 USD.
The list is written in no particular order; we apologize if the ordering is a bit random.
There will be four parts to our holiday gift guide. Here is part 1!
1). The Snowball USB microphone by Blue:
This little mic will run you just about $50 dollars. It may not look like much, but for someone who wants to casually record some stuff into Garageband or who needs a microphone for Skype calls and the likes, this microphone is perfect. The Blue Microphone company has a reputation of making excellent USB condenser microphones, and the Snowball is no exception.
2). Why not some guitar strings? Like, lots of them…
Most, if not all manufacturers offer bulk packs of strings. This link will take you to a D’Addario package, but you can search on Amazon for any brand that you’d like. We personally recommend D’Addario and Ernie Ball strings. Fantastic sound, pretty cheap, and last a long time.
3). Have some bass strings. Unfortunately, only two sets of them.
Bass strings are more expensive than guitar strings, so a bulk pack does not provide as much as one for guitar does. Our recommendations from above still apply here.
4). Guitar amp lookin’ key holders.
These look amazing. Cool product, and now you’re less likely to lose your keys.
Capos are a really neat tool. They allow you to bar the strings up the neck, easily letting you change keys. This pack includes two, and you can choose from a variety of colors.
This concludes part 1 of our gift guide. Check back for part 2, which will be uploaded soon!
